Teen Seminar Day 2022
This year's teenage seminar day was held on Saturday, November 5. The seminar was taught by Grandmaster Crandall, Headmaster Stalloch, Instructors A. Crandall, Spiridigloizzi, Sanson, S. Crandall, and Johnson with assistance from the Master Instructors and other black belt instructors. This annual all-day event provides the students with an opportunity to learn about traditional martial arts topics in greater detail, many of which are not covered in regular classes. This event is an important part of the student's training, as it aids the Master Instructors in getting to know them better and evaluate them on attitude, skills, and knowledge regarding the style.
JUST SOME OF THE ACTION...
This year's class topics included Sparring, Come-along technique control stages, checks and counters, seiza waza drill sets, joint locks from a takedown, and a team building exercise. Additional time was taken for students to practice katas. Throughout the day Grandmaster Crandall and Headmaster Stalloch took special time to work with the students and share some old, traditional martial arts philosophy and concepts.
Next year's seminar will be held in November.
