Ceremonial Black Belt Brunch Presentations
Fifteen students and instructors were recognized on Saturday, September 24, 2022 by Grandmaster Crandall at the Harts Hill Inn in Whitesboro, NY, as they were presented with their certificates of rank.
In the American Martial Arts Institute students who test for black belt ranks often receive their black belt or red tips indicated higher ranks the same day as the testing. However, they do not receive their certificate until one of our Ceremonial Black Belt Brunches. These are held only twice per year. The certificates indicate the student's name, their new rank, and the style and school name. They are signed by Grandmaster Crandall who is the only person in the school who can grant ranks, and black belt certificates also bear his personal seals (chops).
This past Saturday we had 15 people recognized for junior rank black belt (1st Degree), adult rank black belt (1st Degree), 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th degree black belt ranks. It was an incredible moment of growth for our school. Friends and family of new 1st degree black belts joined the instructors, and adult black belt and brown belt students in watching the presentations. Due to other commitments some of the students being recognized were unable to attend but can receive their certificates at our next black belt brunch in April 2023.

Congratulations to these students and their instructors.
