Appalachian Trail - A Worthwhile Journey
CONGRATULATIONS TO MR. STEVE RILEY FOR COMPLETING THE ENTIRE APPALACHIAN TRAIL🥾
The Way for a Traditional martial artist can move them beyond the familiar and into their greater potential. It can take them beyond their perceived limitations and help them to overcome anxieties and doubts. We often compare this to a road, one traveled by our instructor before us, and we are often reminded that our training is part of the journey. But this journey is not necessarily one of physical transportation, and yet sometimes the journey does take you to new locations.
For one of our sixth degree black belt instructors, Mr. Steve Riley, part of his journey literally took him more than 2,000 miles by foot as he hiked the Appalachian Trail.
We are pleased to announce that Mr. Riley has completed ALL 2193.1 miles of the Appalachian Trail thru hike yesterday when he reached Harpers Ferry, WV.
Mr. Riley sets a powerful example for our students, not just from his amazing achievement, but also through his teaching skills and knowledge of our style. We are excited for him to return to us soon and share his many stories from the past few months.
Congratulations to Steve and his friend and traveling companion Jim Reese.
