FunShop Friend Night
On Monday, March 5, we held our FunShop Friend Night. This special class was invitation only, exclusively for students who participated in our Winter-Break Funshop this past February. Students could bring a friend or family member for a free class taught by Grandmaster Crandall and Master Stalloch. This one-time event was held as part of the recognition that this past February was our last WINTER funshop, and that next year's will take place in April as a SPRING funshop. Eight students brought guests, for a group of sixteen. Children's classes are taught in training rooms 1 and 2, while room 3 is normally reserved for iaido (sword), cane, and adult classes. The class included stretching, punches, kicks, basic forms, katas, and an obstacle course pitting two teams against each other (the red and blue teams). It was a lot of fun, and the students got to share their martial arts training with some important in their daily lives. At the end of the class each participant received one of the Action Martial Arts Hall of Honors Trading Cards featuring Grandmaster Crandall and Master Stalloch. The guests and students filled the room with excitement and their positive attitudes.
