Black Belt Training Seminar
Black Belt Training Seminar Weekend - Niagara Falls
On the weekend of May 5, 2017, Grandmaster Crandall and the five Master Instructors taught a series of seminars to 26 American Eagle Style black belts on a martial arts training trip at Niagara Falls. Grandmaster Crandall has led similar trips to train and perform in China, Russia, Japan, Australia, Italy, and the Caribbean, but this trip was designed to be taught over the course of a weekend and took place in the United States. The seminar was held at the Sheraton at Niagara Falls and a conference room was reserved for the group. Each class taught on the cruise was designed to enhance the students' understanding and skill in the American Eagle Style.
Seminar 1 was taught by Master Möller and Master Chuff from 9 am to 11 am. The two Masters covered Taijutsu, Jujutsu, Kumi Tachi, Muto Dori, and Kendo.
Seminar 2 was taught by Master Freleigh and Master Morris from 11 am to 1 pm and was focused on concepts of Kakie and Sensitivity Training.
Seminar 3 was taught by Grandmaster Crandall and Master Stalloch from 2 pm to 4 pm and was focused on Seiza Waza (Kiza, Seiza, Shikko Ho, Techniques / Drill Sets).
Each participant received a bound booklet with information about each topic taught by the Masters and Grandmaster Crandall, which also allowed them to take notes. In addition, Grandmaster Crandall and Master Stalloch produced a 40 minute instructional DVD on the techniques and topics they presented on Seiza Waza.
The next black belt seminar is scheduled to be held in Washington DC in 2019.
