Master Eric Stalloch Achieves 8th Degree Black Belt

Master Stalloch completed his testing for 8th degree black belt on our school training cruise this August 18, 2016. Some of his skill requirements included demonstrating the katas Tong Il Hung, Open Hand, Gauntlet, Wind, Resonance, Unity, and Trilogy. His katas and martial arts skills in all areas are evaluated with additional emphasis on his empty hand, knife, gun and rifle self-defense techniques. This is combined with his grasp of American Eagle Style and its philosophy, as well as an understanding of the martial arts and the dominant styles that have impacted the world through their documented history.

I am very fortunate to have students such as Eric Stalloch, who understand loyalty, long-term dedication, and who have the true awareness that it is not about a goal but rather the journey. This separates traditional martial artists from non-traditional ones. Now, in addition to the four 7th degree Master Instructors that instruct at our school under my direction, our school also has an 8th degree Master Instructor. As a Grandmaster I can say there is little that can compare to the fulfillment and excitement of having such students teaching in your school and immersed in your style.

--Clifford C. Crandall, Jr.

Grandmaster of American Eagle Style and American Martial Arts Institute

In addition, Grandmaster Crandall presented Master Stalloch with his certificate, signed and sealed which will hang on display in the main training hall. He also presented Master Stalloch with a hand carved Hanku (Chops), which is the official seal used to confirm your name on important documents and certificates, which Master Stalloch may one day use in the future.
