American Martial Arts Institute News, Testing Results, and Special Events

This page contains news from our school's history. In 1998, we began to document some our our history on the Internet. Prior to 1998, it was documented through both photographs, news articles, and videos. Many of these records can be found at our school's library at the main location. In 2011, our website was redesigned, and it was determined that school events would be archived here, but not all colored belt and brown belt testings. JANUARY

Hall of Honors
Grandmaster Crandall recognized by Action Martial Arts Magazine Hall of Fame

Cane Master Seminars
Grandmaster Shuey teaches American Cane System seminars at American Martial Arts Institute with assistance from Mr. E. Stalloch and Mrs. Jessee.

Sharing the Martial Arts
Grandmaster Crandall travels to Florida to share martial arts knowledge and philosophy with Grandmaster Raymond P. Arndt, head of the American Kang Duk Won Association.

Adult Seminar
Grandmaster Crandall and staff teach American Eagle Style in special full-day seminar for adult students.

Women's Self-Defense
Seminar presented at Mohawk Valley Community College for campus safety.

Black Belt Testing
New black belt ranks earned.

MAY

Extension Tool Competition
Pictures and news from this year's annual "weapons" competion featuring bo, sai, kama, escrima, naginata, sword, and others.

Special Hall of Fame Induction
Grandmaster Crandall inducts Grandmaster Raymond P. Arndt, head of the American Kang Duk Won Association into the Action Martial Arts Magazine's International Hall of Fame.

JUNE

Black Belt Testing
New black belt ranks earned.

AUGUST

New Staff Member
Grandmaster Crandall presents an adult black belt student with staff member status.

SEPTEMBER

Cane Master Seminar and Testing
Mr. E. Stalloch and Mrs. Jessee present an official cane master seminar supervised by Grandmaster Crandall and evaluated by Grandmaster Shuey as the final requirements of nine-months of testing. Mr. E. Stalloch and Mrs. Jessee are promoted to CaneMaster.
