The first annual American Martial Arts Institute Adult Extension Tool Competition was held at the New Hartford location on Saturday, May 5th. This competition was only open to students of the American Martial Arts Institute training in American Eagle Style who were over the age of thirteen or a junior rank black belt. While the American Martial Arts Institute teaches a variety of extension tools, they are not a part of regular classes. The judging panel consisted of Grandmaster Crandall and seven instructors, all fifth degree black belts. The competition was a lot fun and gave students an opportunity to demonstrate their skills in up to two extension tool divisions. Everyone who competed received a certificate of participation signed by Grandmaster Crandall and Mr. E. Stalloch, the competition's coordinator. Those who placed first in their division received a plaque for their division, and those who placed second received a new uniform. It was a pleasure to see the students demonstrating their skill and interest in the extension tools. With the excitement generated by the day's event, students are already looking forward to next year's competition. Division Winners Included: KAMA DIVISION 1st
